Introdaction

This website and forum have been developed to serve as a platform for broader national discussion including interdisciplinary and multi-sectoral policy dialogue on climate change in Yemen. The forum seeks to enhance national dialogue among national climate change stakeholder discussions which include government ministries, local communities, NGOs/CBOs, private sectors, Medias, and Academia on climate change impacts, renewable energy development, and low-carbon economy in Yemen, proper financing for sectoral mitigation and adaptation including water, agriculture, fishery, health, industry, transportation, energy, ecotourism, disaster risk reduction etc. The forum also aims at promoting dialogues among climate change stakeholders, attempting to share and learn from everyone's experiences and knowledge for both mitigation and adaptation. Also, the forum will facilitate knowledge sharing, exchange of lessons, experience through building of conducive platform for networking, and partnership including raising awareness and enhancing understanding of climate change as not only an environmental issue, but also as a border development issue.
